The FastTrak Service Advisor Console employs a
number of useful features that are utilized throughout the system. To review

General
Features
FastTrak Service Advisor
Console is a comprehensive application that combines the ability to manage the
activities in the shop and ease of data entry into one program. The
concept of allowing a large number of activities to be performed without
changing screens is employed and the number of steps required to find or update
information is minimized to the greatest extent possible.

Discounts
Discounts for parts and labor can be
established for each customer. They can also be specified for a single task or
part on an RO.
Warranty
FastTrak allows warranty to be specified for a
single task or part on an RO.
Vehicle
Damage Reporting
FastTrak provides for vehicle damage marks to be
stored electronically and printed on the Estimate for confirmation.
Deferred
Tasks
If a task is built on an RO and the customer
declines to approve it, the task can be deferred and will be treated as a
recommendation. An appointment can be scheduled with the task linked to it, or
FastTrak will remind the service advisor the next time the vehicle comes in and
it can be added to a new RO with all the detail and parts it was built with.
Quick
Task Entry
FastTrak allows specification of Quick List Tasks
so that the most frequently used tasks can be selected and a simple RO can be
entered and approved in just a few steps.
Recommendations
FastTrak provides for recommendations in a number
of ways. They can be entered directly as text with optional labor and parts
costs, generated as deferred tasks (explained on this page), selected from
canned jobs, or system generated for next service due tasks. When a new RO is
entered for the vehicle, the user will be notified that recommendations exist
and they can then be added to the RO.
Preventive
Maintenance
Canned jobs can be specified as Preventive
Maintenance tasks that need to be performed at specified
intervals. When an RO is entered for a vehicle that has not had a PM task
performed within the specified time period, the user is prompted to add the PM
task to the RO.
Vehicle
History
FastTrak has an interactive vehicle history inquiry
that displays all work done on the selected vehicle. Search capability for
specific tasks or parts can also be performed.
Profit
Analysis
FastTrak includes a detailed profit analysis
inquiry which displays the profit amounts and percentages for each task and
part as well as the entire RO. Profit margins are color coded to recognize
profit and loss as well as a warning to flag items that don't meet the desired
profit margin specified in system set up.
Deleted
RO Recovery
If a repair order is deleted, it is saved and can
be recovered. It will retain the original RO number and all other information.
